Working in Schools and Community
The following model is used by the Project for its work.
By learning skills in debate and negotiation and making connections with other groups in their communities young people can face challenges and affect change in society.
- Challenges - eg National Curriculum, National and Local Government Policies
- Competencies - Skills in research, debate and dialogue. Young people need knowledge of the systems and how they operate
- Connections - Participation, Partnership, Inclusiveness, Empathy, Reflection
- Change - Young people exercise ability to change their environment. Decision makers will join in respectful and constructive dialogue with young people.
