As well as practical project work, the Institute aims to fulfil a vital but disappearing role of voluntary organisations - identifying new needs and pioneering new thinking on social problems.

We offer educational packs, interactive learning resources and lesson plans for Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Special Educational Needs free of charge as well as helping to run innovative initiatives like the Schools Question Time Challenge.

Practical work on the ground begins change, but work to influence policy is also needed to transform people's lives. The Institute's work on 21st Century Citizenship has the potential to create a shared purpose in our common future, to provide a new agenda for changing the debate and, of particular importance, demonstrate complexities, global interconnections and the need for integrated policy approaches as well as local action.

If you believe in what the Institute stands for please support our work with a donation.
