Europe & its Citizens - the Future

Europe and its Citizens - the Future was run by the Institute for Citizenship throughout late 2001 and early 2002. The Institute and its partners argued that, as citizens of Europe, we are exposed to wider issues that increasingly impact on our lives, and yet there is little opportunity for informed discusion.

In a series of discussions around the UK, the programme brought together opinion formers and members of the public to addresss various issues within a European context.

Europe & its Citizens - the Future provided a series of discussion forums for people to express their views and opinions, whatever they are, on the issues highlighted. Europe & its Citizens - the Future was a strictly non-partisan project and which did not wish to take a stand on the pro/anti debate around the EU. The views of the participants were, of course, their own and do not represent the view of the Institute for Citizenship or their sponsors.
